{"id":714,"date":"2013-03-01T09:38:21","date_gmt":"2013-03-01T15:38:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenalc.org\/?page_id=714"},"modified":"2023-07-06T12:43:54","modified_gmt":"2023-07-06T16:43:54","slug":"candidacy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/thenalc.org\/candidacy\/","title":{"rendered":"Candidacy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\">[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Welcome on behalf of the North American Lutheran Church Candidacy Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you are discerning the Lord\u2019s call to serve His Church in the ordained ministry and would like to explore the possibility of living into that calling in the NALC, we invite you to learn more about the candidacy process by reading \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thenalc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/candidacymanual.approved3.12.22byEC.pdf\">Candidacy Process<\/a>.&#8221;\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The Candidacy Committee meets for candidate interviews in March, June, and October of each year.\u00a0 To be eligible for an interview panel with the committee, candidates <span style=\"color: #993300;\">MUST SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED<\/span> forms, essays, fees, etc. to the main office <span style=\"color: #993300;\">NO LATER THAN 30 days prior<\/span> to the date of the candidacy meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The NALC Candidacy Committee takes great joy in walking with our candidates for ministry as they pursue their educational and experiential requirements.\u00a0 If you would like more information concerning candidacy in the NALC, please contact <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"mailto:alittle@thenalc.org\">alittle@thenalc.org<\/a>.<\/span><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]The <a href=\"http:\/\/thenals.org\"><strong>North American Lutheran Seminary (NALS)<\/strong><\/a> is the seminary of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC). Many candidates for ministry in the NALC receive their education through study at the NALS. Whether you are looking to complete an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenals.org\/index.php\/academic-programs\/mdiv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">M.Div.<\/a>\u00a0degree or need to supplement your previous education by studying confessional Lutheran doctrine through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenals.org\/index.php\/academic-programs\/dls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Diploma of Lutheran Studies<\/a>, the NALS is pleased to offer academically rigorous, biblically sound, and affordable theological education.
