Component Lead: Pastor Phil Gagnon (Pastor David Wendel and the Life-to-Life Discipleship Team)
Immediate Goal: More than 200 congregations intentionally developing disciple-making cultures by 2023

  1. Discipleship: The goal is to produce disciples who are, themselves, able to disciple others
    1. Leading people to faith in Jesus, until they are able to lead others to faith in Jesus
    2. Discipleship includes following Jesus and helping others follow Jesus
  2. CREDO Initiative as the framework
    1. Confessional Renewal Empowering Discipleship & Outreach
    2. Not a one-size-fits-all approach, but a framework for developing disciple-making cultures
  3. Expansion of trained guides for congregational support
    1. Annual Guide Leadership Training beginning in June 2020
  4. Disciple making incorporated into training for seminarians, interns and first-call pastors
    1. Effective with all interns in Fall 2019
  5. Provide/promote disciple-making models and resources for training youth and families/parents
