Chelsea Smith is from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grove City, Ohio, and attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. It was in these two places that she learned about the heart of Jesus, but fully dedicated her life to Christ her sophomore year at Capital through the ministries of Cru, formerly Campus Crusade for Christ. Upon graduating from college, Chelsea felt the Lord calling her to work with Cru to reach the thousands of other lost college students around her, so she interned with the Central Ohio team during the 2019-2020 school year and now will be reporting as full-time, long-term staff to the Cincinnati team. Her primary roles include one-on-one and group discipleship, leading Bible study, and planning events such as a monthly meeting for students, Fall Retreat, Winter Conference and Spring Break trips where students are trained in how to share their faith and are developed spiritually in a variety of ways. She also has a degree in marketing and enjoys creating digital and promotional content to help better engage the college students of this generation.
