How to Become a Partner Agency

The NALC Partner Agencies are ministries with a wide reach, many of which are global. Ministries that meet the criteria can apply to become NALC Partner Agencies by submitting an application. Interested organizations must contact the Mission Specialist, who will learn about the ministry and determine what category of ministry they fit, and then send them the link to the application. The application will be vetted by the Mission Vetting Team and recommended for approval by the Executive Council.

Grant Process for Partner Agencies

Partner Agencies receive grant money from the NALC each year. Proposals are made by the General Secretary, Treasurer, and the Missions Team, and approved by the Executive Council at their November meeting. The amount of a grant can be up to $12,000. Grant applications will be available in the fall, beginning in October, and the deadline for applying is November 15. Applications will be submitted on Airtable, where they can be accessed by everyone on the Grant Committee. The Grant Committee consists of the General Secretary, Treasurer, and members of the Missions Team, including the Assistant to the Bishop for International Missions and the Missions Specialist, among others. Grant approvals will be made by the end of January, and approval and agreement letters are sent out to be signed and returned before the checks can be sent. Most grants are distributed at that time. Mission Start grant checks are sent each quarter after the recipients have met with the Director for Church Plants and the Mission Specialist or have submitted a report. All grant recipients are required to submit a report describing how the grant money has been used to benefit the ministry.

Updates from Partner Agencies

Partner Agencies are required to provide annual confirmation that the information on the NALC website is accurate. They are also invited to have a display at NALC convocations at no cost. Updates from Partner Agencies are published in the NALC Newsletter at least once a year.

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

– Matthew 28:18-20 ESV
