The NALC vision calls for every congregation, small or large, to have an active, intentional relationship supporting a local community ministry, one of the NALC mission congregations in North America and one global mission. There are three categories of ministries in the NALC: Ministry Partners, Recognized Ministries, Great Commission Society Ministries.

  • Victory Ministries

    With administrative offices and support furnished through the NALC’s Advent Lutheran Church in North Charleston, SC, and having received NALC grant funds, the on-the-ground location of Victory Ministry’s work is in West Africa, currently in Liberia, with some outreach in Guinea, Sierra Leone and the Ivory Coast. Victory “seeks to reach the unreached, point the way to Christ, and make disciples of all those God has called us to serve.”Learn More

  • Water Mission

    Water Mission believes that the global water crisis can be solved and they take a comprehensive approach to combating the crisis with water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) solutions in 56 countries and have over 350 staff members working around the world in permanent country programs.Learn More

  • We Raise Foundation

    Motivated by the belief that freedom is grace in action, We Raise Foundation partners with Christian organizations to raise consciousness, community leadership and capital.Learn More

  • William Obaga

    In January 2020, the North American Lutheran Church (NALC) received Dr. William Obaga as a Global Worker through the World Mission Prayer League (WMPL). William continues with his role in overseeing WMPL missionaries assigned to Africa, while also serving the NALC in building, forging, nurturing, and promoting her growing partnerships in Africa, and specifically serving on the ground in Kenya.Learn More

  • Word of Life Lutheran Church (Vale, NC)

    A mission congregation in the NALC, and the only NALC congregation in western Lincoln County for families and people looking for a traditional, Scripture-based Lutheran place of worship, this Mission Driven congregation is deeply involved in its community, and has recently found a more permanent home to rent.Learn More

  • World Mission Prayer League

    World Mission Prayer League (WMPL) is a Lutheran community committed to know Christ, pray for the advance of His kingdom, share the Gospel and ourselves with those who do not know Him, and encourage Christians everywhere in this global task.Learn More
