The NALC vision calls for every congregation, small or large, to have an active, intentional relationship supporting a local community ministry, one of the NALC mission congregations in North America and one global mission. There are three categories of ministries in the NALC: Ministry Partners, Recognized Ministries, Great Commission Society Ministries.

  • Jonathan Gowin

    Jonathan (Jon) Gowin grew up in Gambia and neighboring Senegal, West Africa, as the son of missionaries. After earning a degree in theology and missions, and a second degree in agriculture education, he returned to Gambia and served as an agriculture missionary for 10 years.Learn More

  • James Puotyual, Pastor

    Pastor James Puotyual was born in the Upper Nile region of South Sudan. In 1985, due to civil war, he was forced to move to Ethiopia and Kenya, living for a few years in tents in United Nations refugee camps.Learn More

  • Immanuel Lutheran Church (Sumter, SC)

  • Iglesia Santisima Trinidad (Fort Worth, TX)

    Serving in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area, Iglesia Santisima Trinidad is a vibrant young mission congregation. With the intention of being truly involved in their community, their focus on evangelism drives them to create disciples that strengthen the presence of the Kingdom. They face the challenge of not having a permanent home, and yet, this is used as an advantage to be Mission Driven in all they do as they proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.Learn More

    Seeking to reach out to Hispanics in East and West Dallas County, Iglesia Luterana La Transfiguracion formed in early 2015 as a house church and grew into having services in a backyard, then in a neighboring Lutheran church building.Learn More

  • His Light Ministries (Ministerio SU Luz) (Miami, FL)

    Committed to preaching Christ and making disciples in the power of the Holy Spirit, Iglesia Luterana San Pedro is a mission church to the Latino community. Their radio ministry, “Tiempo de Alabanza,” broadcasts several days a week to reach out to that community; they are seeking funds to support the cost of purchasing air time.Learn More
