Youth and Family Ministry Update

The connecting continues. Make sure someone from your congregation is connected to the NALC Youth Ministry Facebook page.

Registration is open for the 2018 Lutheran Week Youth Ministry Symposium in August. Check out the NALC registration site for details or contact us at [email protected].

Our keynote speaker this year is Thomas O’Neill, a philanthropist at Second Harvest Food Bank and former President of Youth Encounter. Involved in ministry to young people for much of his life, Thomas will be addressing how to build a ministry to young people through building service projects and building relationships.

Breakout sessions will also be offered as well as some opportunities to share our best practices with each other.

Beginning in September, online courses will be made available for free to partner congregations.

Meeting monthly, some of the topics included are: Creating a Healthy Youth Ministry Culture; Outcome-Based Ministry; Faith Webbing; Safeguarding; Models of Youth Ministry; Developing Daily Disciplines; and Disciplines for Beyond.

Each course includes access to a presentation, handouts, resources, an extended question and answer time period, and more. To find out more information, register today, or connect, please visit YMCoaches.com and complete the contact form.
