Home > Disaster Response > Prayers and Help Needed in Houston, TX

After helping distributing flood buckets, teaming up with other local churches to help with repairs, and coordinating local efforts, Pastor McClanahan has put out a request for some help to the inner-city church he serves that was damaged by Hurricane Harvey. First Evangelical Lutheran Church, a smaller and older congregation, one mile south of downtown Houston, has three specific needs: (1) roofing damaged [which has received repair funds from a local source!]; (2) a furnace repair to a building on the church property that had six feet of standing water (cost is $2,380.00) and (3) adding/repairing air conditioner chiller [totaling over $14,000].

Please send donations directly to the church.
