Rev. Charles and Anita Jackson

Rev. Charles Jackson grew up in Alberta, Canada and received his Master of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon. He served parishes in the Donalda Parish in Alberta. He also served as the chair of the Home Council for WMPL Canada.

His wife, Anita, is a native of Minnesota and received her Master of Theological Studies from Concordia Lutheran Seminary in Edmonton. She has served with WMPL in Ecuador as a teacher.

Together, the Jacksons served with WMPL Canada in Kenya from 2001-2008. Pr. Charles was a pastor and church leadership developer, and Anita taught English and adult literacy classes. After handing over the work to local pastors, the Jacksons took a new assignment in 2010 with Joint Christian Services International, a WMPL partner agency. Pr. Jackson serves as the Director of Projects and Placements, and Anita helps students improve their English language skills and encourages them as their mentor.

Rev. Nijhar Minz-Ekka

Rev. Nijhar Minz-Ekka and family serve with WMPL in Ranchi, Jharkhand, North India, in the North Western Gossner Evangelical Lutheran Church (NWGELC). Pr. Minz is a called pastor of the NALC; her husband, Pr. Jhakmak Ekka, is called in the NWGELC. Both teach and are part of the administration for Navin Doman Theological College, which trains pastors, missionaries, evangelists and community leaders and does many community service ministries.

 

Rev. Jeff and Mim Nellermoe

Pastor Jeff and Mim NellermoeRev. Jeff and Mim Nellermoe serve with China Service Ventures’  “Bo Ai” summer youth camps in Henan, China, where they work primarily to mentor CSV’s Chinese leaders and equip them for lives of service. Pr. Jeff is a called in the NALC.

Jeff graduated with a B.A., summa cum laude, from Texas Lutheran College (Seguin, TX), and a M.Div., with honors, from Luther Seminary (St. Paul, MN). He completed his Ph.D. in Integrated Marketing Communication at the University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT). His recreational pursuits include motorcycles, horses, skiing, archery, golf, and biking. Aside from sports, he loves to play guitar and sing, watch movies, and read good fiction novels.

Mim graduated with a B.A., summa cum laude, from Texas Lutheran College, and a M.A. in Education from Augustana Lutheran College (Sioux Falls, SD). Most recently she coached and taught at Another Way School in Park City, Utah. Mim loves all sports and animals. She grew up in Salt Lake City.

Judy Perry

A public health nurse in Shanxi, China, since 1992—first with the ELCA and then, since 2011, with World Mission Prayer League—Judy Perry works in the northeastern part of China through Evergreen Family Friendship Service. Evergreen’s purpose is to “facilitate holistic and sustainable transformation in the communities we serve in broad and eternal ways, and to be part of China’s economic and spiritual development by shining the light of Christ through the utilization of our professional skills.” Judy works and lives in Yuci, Shanxi, China, on a diabetes prevention project and is currently beginning a Family Support Center for elder care and family counseling.
